Our programmes

Four complementary programmes, designed to be delivered together in the same school. Connect, feed, educate, empower: each building block reinforces the others.

01
Programme 1 — Internet in Africa

Closing the digital divide.

The objective is simple: that a pupil can, in their own school, reach a connection, a computer and digital learning resources — and that an adult from the community can train there.

What we do

  • Installing internet connection points
  • Equipping schools with IT
  • Computers and tablets
  • Access to digital learning resources
  • Computer training
  • Developing e-learning
  • Digital mentoring for young people

What we check before installing

  • How reliable the power supply is
  • Whether the room can be physically secured
  • That a trained focal point is present on site
  • A maintenance budget covering three years
  • Written agreement from the school
02
Programme 2 — School Meals for All

At least one meal on every school day.

Making sure children get at least one school meal. It is the single most direct measure there is for attendance, concentration in class, and keeping girls in school.

What we do

  • Setting up school canteens
  • Providing meals
  • Improving nutrition
  • Supporting under-resourced schools
  • Raising awareness about food

Our principles

  • Local sourcing first
  • Kitchen staff recruited within the community
  • Hygiene and traceability of supplies
  • Menus drawn up with a nutrition adviser
  • Funding secured for the full school year
03
Programme 3 — Education for All

Making school possible, then making it useful.

Materials are missing, teachers get little support, libraries are empty. This programme tackles the everyday material reality of school.

What we do

  • Support for disadvantaged children
  • School supplies
  • Teaching equipment
  • Support for teachers
  • School libraries
  • Adult literacy
  • Vocational training

Who it is for

  • Primary and secondary pupils
  • Children out of school or at risk of dropping out
  • Teachers and school leadership
  • Adults in literacy programmes
04
Programme 4 — Training and empowerment

After school, a livelihood.

A programme designed to carry our educational work through to employment and entrepreneurship, with particular attention to young people and women.

What INACAT will develop

  • Digital skills training
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Professional skills
  • Support for young people
  • Training for women
  • Routes into employment

Formats we envisage

  • Short workshops in the digital spaces
  • Certified pathways run with partners
  • Remote mentoring by volunteers
  • Supported micro-projects

A programme is only worth the project that makes it real.
